never fished on the head boats :-[

a lot of charters out of Pirates cove, if a boat has an opening they will fit you in, it's around 2-225 for the day of Tuna, Mahi-Mahi......and it's only a 45 min ride to the fishing grounds, not like the marathon ride up here........good luck t^

I know there is a party boat located in Broad Creek Marina. It's not to far a drive from Nags Head.

http://broadcreekfishingcenter.com/

I fished out of this marina in early May of this year. Very nice facilities.

Right down the road from there is a little family owned restaurant called TL's which served up the BIGGEST rack of ribs I ever saw. Think it's their Friday night special.

By your screen name, I'm assuming you're from Bayonne. I'm right down the street from Marist.

Forgot to mention, if you can't afford the cost of a tuna charter yourself--you might wanna check with some of the marinas with charter fleets as alot of times there are people/captains looking for singles or doubles to fill out a charter. in those cases you usually pay 1/6 of the total cost for a single (1 person) or 2/6s for a double (2 people).

I know the boat captain I fished with in May is always sending me emails saying he needs a person or two to fill out a charter. Wish I had the time to get back down there this summer.

Here's who I fished with. Might be worth it to you to drop him an email seeing if he needs to fill out any charters during the time you're down there.
