Stripers 4/20
« on: April 20, 2010, 09:03:14 PM »
was suppose to fish this evening with Ken(Blood vessel)on his boat "The Breeze".laying on the couch this morning hear my cell phone chiming I have a message,it's Ken,call me,I call him and he says I have some bad news,my vehicle got rear ended on the way to work this morning  nosmly the good news I'm home lets go now  TT^ headed down and out of Sayreville around 9 with him and his wife Hon,who got a scratchy throat this morning and called in sick to work   ;D hit the hook and spotted the fleet off shore a bit, headed to the area and found fish and started using storm shads and AVAs,Ken hooked right up with a nice 23 lber, continued moving to stay with the fish, fish boiling on the top, everybody hooking up,fish following fish up, at times in 90 feet of water and we had fish from top to bottom, never seen this before.Hon had the hot pole, she seemed to be hooking up the most, all big fish.awhile after the tide changed worked our way to back off the hook and started trolling stretch 25s with nothing happening,Ken just gets done saying lets get out of here we're beating a dead horse and his pole starts jumping and peeling out,a nice striper on,I start reeling mine in to get out of his way and it takes off,I can't move it,thought I had New Jersey.then I get a tug and start gaining some and it comes to the top,get it in and it's just over 38 inches and weighs 28 lbs,a PB for me,Kens wasn't shabby either, but I don't know what it was,to excited about mine,it's the picture two of us together.we continued trolling in this area hooking up a few more times with Bass and one jumbo blue.all quality fish today, very few shorts, must have caught over 30 fish, great day on the water, headed in around 4.   t^  Kez

Kez, the boat is bottomed painted.. I waxed' em up yesterday, and it will be getting splashed  in the next day or 2  clp  I'm pumped to see how good the fishing's been down there so far.. those fish will be swimming up to my doorstep soon  TT^  The plan is to keep it up here thru our Bass run , and then we'll run it down to the bay once the fluking starts.. If you want a change of scenery, come'on up and chase some cows with me !    chrz
