evening try for stripers 4/23
« on: April 24, 2010, 09:40:48 AM »
out Of Sayreville around 4 With Ken(Blood Vessel)son Brian(Striper74),Mike and myself on Ken's boat "The Breeze".we had a full bushel of fresh clams along with all the other attack gear, stretches, jigs, storm shads.headed out to the hook.not to make a bad story long,we were all over the place trying,Flynn's Knoll, headed down toward the rocks looking, and back into the bay, great Kills,Princess Bay,back bay train bridge area.tried jigging everything on a few sparse marks, trolled the stretch 25s and ended up trying to chum a bite with the clams, not one bite all night.felt bad for Brian who doesn't get out much and we have been skunked every time he's been out this year with me or with Ken,we started calling him our banana  ;D ,but he'll get em,still early in the season.we headed in around 10:30,still great to be out there trying.  Kez

Just got  a call from a co-worker who was out today He said they were at flynn's knoll using clams today and limited out in no time , and were playing catch and release the rest of the day. Like a sheet of glass out there he said.
We will see later.

Well, it's obvious "what a difference a day makes" after reading Uncle Luna above whs.

If my customers read that, they would scream! And also my mate and I.......oh well that's fishing.

Valiant effort Dennis  t^  tough day.. too bad it did'nt happen for Brian.. we all have a "Banana"  in the family i think.. mine is my older bro Jack.. he will shut down a world class fishery for 2 days on either side of his visit every time..    hhppy The only thing he caught when we where in Cozumel was  believe it not,  a 12" Banana fish  TT^  chrz
