Raw Water WashDown Pump Replacement
« on: April 26, 2010, 08:01:49 PM »
I need to replace the raw water wash down pump.  Keeps freezing and popping breaker.  It is a Shrflo Pro Blast 15A, 3.5 GPM 45 PSI.

My question is could I replace this with a 4.0 GPM 50 or 60 PSI pump as long as i do not exceed the amp and match the intake/out take hoses?  I have mixed feels about it and just want to make sure I am not missing something here.  Thanks.

whs.  Like you said, Do not exceed amperage ratings on the conductors feeding the pump. And the water hose diameters. How about the size of the actual pump? Will it fit?  Do you want to use the same mounting holes or brackets?  I believe the water intake and output should be in the same spots on those two pumps.
  Good luck!, t^  Eddie

Good points mentioned above. I would think about another brand such as Jabsco or Grocco. Better quality than Shureflow, although a bit more money.

I was actually thinking of putting a Jabsco, 4.0 into it.  Just want to make sure that adding the additional GPM and PSI wouldnt be an issue.  Thanks guys.
