Headed out for another day of blackfishing before its over. Ken, Jim, Tony Lovehislabs,Bob S, Bates and David rounded out the crew.
Breezy was the word of the day but since we fished inshore the ocean wasnt bad.
Headed out and had a Load of reading outside the inlet... Gave it a quick shot but it was a load of blues... Cont on to the Blackfish grounds.
Got setup nice with both anchors and The Bites started pretty quick. After a few minutes we started picking away at nice size boxers... Picked and Plucked around the boat... Not a crazy bite like sat but it was steady... after the morning the action slowed up a bit but we still picked at keepers here n there. Shifted around when the bite died and we catch a few more after the wiggle. By Lunch time we over 30 Keepers and a Boat Limit to 8lbs...
Made another drop and we played c&r With a few more nice blackfish... Also seen the first few keeper sized seabass here and Bob added the lone ling to the Box. After that the action petered out and the wind got even stronger.
So we picked up the hooks and headed for Home and i told the guys if we see anything we will try jigging... Looked to the south but didnt see much. Stopped on a few readings and we picked a couple blues and a short bass before heading to the dock.
Most of the fish were on crabs today... few on clam... water was a little dirty but clean enough for them to bite and put a catch together. Wind made it tough at times but we made the best of it and all in all a Nice day On the water!
By days end we wound up with around 45 Keeper Blackfish to 8lbs with everyone taking home a limit and releasing the rest for another day. 1 ling and a few blues also made it into the Box.
