A huge blitz last night, where were you?
« on: June 04, 2010, 10:50:57 AM »
Okay I just had to post this up and show you guys that the bass are still around in large numbers.  Last night from 6PM till 9 PM there was a large school of bass off the Casino Pier.  Fish up to 34# were not uncommon.  Most were caught on swimmers.  If you are thinking of going out the dusk till dark is your best bet.

We are waiting to see what happens today, the only problem is that the weekend is here and the beaches will be full so be careful out there.

Happy Catching

Paul

Why wait?  5hrug

Go tonight. This won't last forever. If you wait too long the fish will be north when you do get out.  :P

Seems the afternoon/evening is the time the bass are coming in.

Yeah I'm thinking about either late tonight or early tomorrow morning.  We'll see what the other half has to say when she gets home.

The trouble with fishing is it was better before you got there, and after you left.

from betty and nick's website in Seaside park...

UPDATED 5:10 AM Monster bass blitz off the Casino Pier last night sometime between 6 PM and 8 PM. I don't know if they ever hit the hit, but from the few snippetts of info I grabbed off our Facebook site, I believe they were on the beach as well. Great sign that it is definitely not over and either these fish are returning from the north because of the drop in water temp, or we have a new body of big bass coming into the area. The "Scattered Thunderstorm" garbage should bother you. If it happens, it happens and it's not like it will rain all day even if it does. They told us we were going to get hit yesterday and we never saw a drop. They all went north of us. Joe DeFilippis Jr. of the Windjammer Motor Lodge in Seaside Park weighed in a fat 34 pounder as he was in that Casino Pier blitz yesterday. I will post the videos once the sun comes up.
