Tom and I were out on the Sandy Hook Bay in our boat "Roosters" this morning for a few hours of searching for our favorite Fluke. The bite was off at first until Tom landed two keeper Fluke at just over 18". Just before heading in I landed a 21½" fish on a plain Killie. There were few Sea Robins caught and no Bluefish. Perhaps the water is still cold as most fish caught were in the 9" range. Killies again this year are a problem to trap, maybe we need to find new places to put our traps without them being molested. There were no Bunker schools in our area or in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor.
