Seems the fluke are a little bigger this year. Last year we averaged 25 shorts for every keeper. Yesterday afternoon we fished the outgoing tide and picked up about 20 fish with 4 keepers. The Shorts this year even seem to be bigger over half were in the 17" range. We had 2 @ 18.5" 1 @ 21" and 1 @ 24". Chartreuse Spro 1oz and gulp was the most productive color White was OK and pink was dead. You have to work the bait, lots of motion erratic jigging turned the bite on, we had a rod just dead sticking and only one fish take
that. Most of the rivers normal fluke spots have fish we just followed the higher water temps 70+. The outgoing tide is definitely the best.
