Beach was void tgoday>>>
« on: June 09, 2010, 01:04:38 PM »
Both of fish and fisherman.  From A23 to the inlet if there were 20 veh., there was a lot.  We set up at the first cut north of the pocket and fished it hard.  The sun was up and there were some heavy clouds moving in so the water was very clarie,  No wave action at all even worse than yesterday.  We were using bunker and clams but nothing seemed to work.

We switched and went to fish the jetty where a few blues were brought over the rocks and we saw one striper caught.  It was a short and it went back to grow a little.  The striper was taken on an AVA 117 with a green tail.  Of course everyone switched over but nada.

We decided to call it quits early especially that the clouds were coming in pretty good by then.

It looks like the next time out will be Friday night right before the New Moon on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are planning on going let us know and maybe we can meet up.  I plan to be out there for quite a while and see what happens.  We'll see.

Happy Catching

Paul

Good try Paul
I never made it out of the house this morning, no less out to the beach.  Maybe tomorrow.  But almost definitely Friday.

Hey Paul,

I was thinking of trying to get out one night towards the end of this week. I saw that the tide will be just right around friday night with High coming right at dark. If I head down it'd probably be in the point pleasant-Belmar area.
I'll let you know.

Sounds good Drew...I am going to try to be out there Friday at IBSP and see what happens.  If you listen to "Crazy Alberto" he likes the New Moon in May and June especially, and 3 hours after High tide.  I will be trying out his theory.

Good Luck and as always...

Too bad it did not work out yesterday.  I am going to try tomorrow tonight (Friday, 6/11) with a friend who has been asking about fishing the beach.  We will probably hit the beach at Sea Girt or somewhere else around where he lives in Manasquan.  Tide table looks beautiful for fishing around dusk.  I can't wait!

Good luck out there.  I will be on the beach at IBSP around 6ish. It looks like it will be a good night for fishing.

High tide at Seaside Heights is:  7:15

Sunset will be:  8:25

% of Moon Visibility:  3

If ever there was a great time to be out on the beach fishing the holes and structure it is Friday Night.  If you do go I would bring the whole arsenal of baits.  You never know what their fancy will be.  Clams, bunker, plugs, lures and what ever you have in your box is fair game.

If you can do some scouting before you go and give your local B&T a visit or call to find out what is going on.  You will get first hand knowledge and hopefully fish in the box.

If anyone wants to meet up I am planning on starting at the pocket and working my way north a bit.  Not to much as I have found a few holes I will be targeting.

Good Luck to all that make the attempt Friday night.

Happy Catching

We're planning on being out there tomorrow night.  Prolly from about 6 till ??
I was out this afternoon at low tide scouting some structure.  Looks like the last two days has been an evening bite.

Yeah Chris, I will be out there about the same time.  I posted another thread in IBSP as well.  Not sure if you read it or not.

See you guys out there tomorrow.
