Headed out for another day on the Bottom Grounds. Carl F, Donny, Ricky, Larry, Andy and the angler formerly known as Nj Bob rounded out todays crew.

Started the day out drifting a bunch of rock piles... Picking some Nice Keepers along with shorts... Picked just over 20 Fish from this area...

Next spots were about the same putting 20 keepers... here they were all nice quality keepers but not in the numbers we were seeing also some nice chunky Blackfish released for another day... Def Read more life than we caught though.

Next we Tried another area.. drifting around adding around 20 More.... some piles were void of seabass but had some nice ling to fill there spot.

At 12:00 We had 60 Keeper Seabass and 15 Ling a nice cooler but it appeared today might just be a grind with a few here n there.

Made a run and found what we were looking for... hit the mother load of Quality Seabass.... drop and reel action with most Keeper size fish over 14 in up to 2 1/2 lbs... Double header keepers along with some big ling...

Slugged away at the knuckle heads at a quick clip and in a little over an hour the guys put around 90 Keeper Seabass in the box given them a 6 man limit by 2pm.

When your bottom fishing it Only takes that one drop to change the whole day!!!

By Days end the guys Boxed up 150 Nice Seabass (a 6 man limit) along with 23 for over 170 tasty treats. Released a Bunch of Blackfish, Short Cod n Fluke, silver eels and a Winter Flounder... Also kept a few pout for the smoker.

Awesome day with a great crew... weather was a 10, and the laughs were non stop!!!

Hey Captain Jerry and Captain (Crumbcake) Wayne,

Thanks for another great trip on the Fish Monger. It was touch and go there for a while that we would uphold the Fish Monger reputation of getting our limits.Ocean was like a lake most of the day and we sure did cover a lot of ground looking for the quality sea bass. Being able to power drift because of the conditions was great as it saved a lot of time if the piece was empty and gave us more fishing time.

The last stop was total mayhem with DROP and REEL for over an hour. My ass was kicked about 3/4 of the way through this mad dog bite, but did not quit until we had our limit of 150 nice sea biscuits. Did not have one cigarette as I did not want to miss a fish. Wayne was awesome with unhooking fish, keeping fresh bait on the rail, getting tangles out and retying broken off rigs. You got snagged on the bottom, you just broke it off and grabbed another fishing pole. Some of the finest seas bass fishing I have ever seen for a sustained period of time.

You guys deserve all the kudos you have been receiving.

Great boat and two great Captains who work VERY, VERY hard for their customers.
