Had Rob's (Aka Raider Rob) Charter aboard today for Seabass. Bud the wiser, Mr Lorenzo, Hynon ( I cant feel bottom), Mr Steady Weldon and Hector the cbass slugger rounded out todays crew.
Looked in some bunker right outside in am... Lots of bait... but no hungry bass for us.
Headed out on some rock piles... Lot of small fish biting like piranhas, with some nice keepers mixed in. Picked around 25 keepers...
Moved to a few small junk piles which had some nice size fish on them.... but not a big quanity... Picked it clean for 20 nice fish and moved on.
Went to another spot... no life or atleast biting... Next wreck was a Pick of quality keepers
Finished the day fishing some small piles... Picked away at them... get a blast... then slow up... Shift, move, start over, repeat.
Not lock n load action... But Still Nice fishing. Had to work at it to put a good cooler together today... Lots of drops, picking away few here few there... typical grind it out type bottom bite. Again today like most trips this year most of the keepers were quality fish in the 14-16 in range with some bigger knuckle heads mixed in... Some spots the bites ya got were mostly all keepers.
So by days end the guys picked 111 Keeper Seabass, 6 Ling, some pout and silver eels... Like always threw back our share of Blackfish, Short Cod, a Big Flounder and short Fluke.
As always it was a pleasure having RoB Back aboard with us and he Brought a fun crew of guys!!!
