 On 6/24 I ran a 3 man all day seabass charter with Mark, DJ and Joe.  We cleared the inlet  and were greeted with nice ocean conditions and a 10mph North breeze. A strong north current had us changing up from anchor to grapple and back to anchor a few times today. The guys enjoyed a nice bite with fish all though the day with no real bast of numbers but a nice steady pick. Again today there was plenty of shorts Seabass, blackfish to 3lbs and a short codfish. Top seabass was a nice 19" fish that top the scale at 2 lbs 14 oz. The 3 anglers finished the day with 65 keeper seabass.  Now for the possible record catch........Does anybody know what the record is for a toilet because we caught a beauty. I have never caught a toilet before but this one looked to be a fully grown model and put up quite a fight. Anybody have any idea how to fillet one. Hopfully the "Fisherman" will have some upcoming articles on the best baits and season for catching toilets. Have a great day I know I will as Fishguts Inshore Charters is basking in the glory of our possible record toilet catch.

not yet drop and reel fishing for them as this may be a new fishery and not to sure when the big " push " moves in. I got a tip that thermal nuclear chicken gulp my be the go to bait. I am tying 12 hook daisy chain rigs as we speak and will be looking for many double and triple headers. If the bite is consistant I may even offer toilet charters for that one of a kind charter experience.

Keep this new fishery quiet.  If not, the ASMFC will get hold of it and the regulations will get all screwed up!

 now thats just to funny

 how long was the fight to bring it in?

 i know a 1/2" steel cable just north of barney inlet took me about 40 minutes to get alongside the boat, got that trolling bunker spoons. dont know where it went to or how long it was, but damn did it put up a nice fight, and was released unharmed for another day.

You may have found the "little" private reef started by some Captain of this area.
I remember fishing a few years ago on the Norma-k III out of Pt. Pleasant on a Blackfish trip where all day long the old fixtures from a bathroom were on the deck and dumped in the dark on the way back in for a private "little rubble spot".
