Plenty Of Shorts ,Keepers and a Boat.!!!

Fished on my buddies boat early this morning. Goal was fluke, relaxing and some sun.
Worked the bucktail,and all the usual baits.Strips, gulp,killies and squid.
Every thing produced,plenty of shorts but big fighters.Four keepers for the box.But it was work with a steady pick.White caps in the later part of the morning.
SE and then SW winds created wind against tide.
On the way in a Fellow and his son broke down and where drifting into the pillings and rocks.
In a matter of seconds it would have been a big problem for them and any rescue.I yelled to him to drop his anchor and quickly got a line to him for a eventual fast tow with  difficult boat manuvering to get both boats into safety (around pilling, rocks and strong winds).
So,if you see Happy Hooker give him a salute for a job well done.
Thank God all worked out.

nice going Capt.! ...amazing how you can forget to throw the anchor when the engine doesn't kick...but at least he had an anchor...seen some who go out without one!
