Left KEYPORT at daylight,creek was flat and calm,CAPY DON,BUCKTAIL DON and NICKY B,threw net and pleanty peanuts,headed for Raritan Reach,BOUY 19,water flat as a pancake,no drift at all,bucktail with peanuts,caught all shorts.Worked our way up the chanel,fishing the edges still no keepers,all fat 17",headed towards the KEANSBURG PIER,nothing doing.Tried BOUY 11 A,still all shorts,Wind kicked up a little and made for a better drift.Fished the middle of the bay and the bite turned on.Caught many almost keepers,Nice fat fish.Ended up with four keeps,21"21"18"18",all in all a great day on the BAY.Also spotted BULLNOSE RAYS fining on the surface.Back at the dock at noon to meet up with CAPT Z aka PILOT,to hand off a bucket of peanuts
to head off shore with.Washed down the boat,cleaned fish,had a cold
and headed home for a fish diner.Good to see HUNTER II back in his slip.
