Felt Good to be back behind the wheel after a couple days off. Headed out for a day of fluking. Matt Avid, Cool Hand Al, Eric in Pursuit, Greg Vongas and Tiny Tim Rounded out todays 5 man crew.
Started off in the sticky stuff... No drift and not many bites... found a few patches of fish but mostly shorts with only a couple of Keepers Mixed in. Got a Better drift and we started to get more bites but they were all shorties.
Moved to another area... and we had some good life as soon as we got on scene.
Our First 5 Keeper Fish were big ones from 5-7lbs !!!
Thought this was it!!!
But
After that we picked a keeper or two a drift along with shorts... Until the ugly s wind came on and put an end to the action.
Made a stop inshore on the ride in... Greg did manage another keeper to break the tie breaker
By days end the guys fished hard and wound up with 20 Nice Keepers with Five fish being 5-7lbs.
