Raritan Bay Fluking 8/13
« on: August 13, 2010, 05:50:30 PM »
Ben,John and myself out of Sayreville this morning at about day break.hit the open bay and the wind was honking and the bay was chopping,my original plans were to move around the open bay but not go up to Flynns Knoll or the TC where we had some success in recent trips, but conditions of the bay put the stop to that.fished the Triangle and Back Bay with some good drift conditions, but into some 3 to 4 footers or better at times.we were able to pick away at fish but not able to get any keepers,a few at the 17 inch range.headed in around 1.on the way up the river hit some submerged object that tore the wheel from my hands and spun the boat but checked out everything and no damage.a lot of crap in the water from the flood tide.we gave it a try but maybe we should have stayed home, not many boats out there today.     Kez
