Headed out for another day on the fluking grounds. Eric The Mortgage Man John, Mike .Matt Avid, Greg Vongas, and Party Arty rounded out todays crew.
Back to the same grounds... in the sticky stuff... action started as soon as the baits hit the bottom and lasted just about the whole day.... First drift we had a load of shorts and a few keepers... Pounded the area pretty good for more of the same every drift... loads of action and a few keepers.
Made a Little shift and found a patch that had even more Keepers in it... along with loads and loads of shorts.
Had a Healthy cooler with a couple dozen keepers when the drift and action slowed up a bit.... but we still slugged at shorts with a keeper here n there.
Got some movement the keepers started to come again including a Nice 5 Lber and Arty's Beatiful 8 lber. Mike also got a nice 16 in Blackfish
Got a little more breeze and man did they really start to chew loads of shorts... more keepers... multiple fish on etc... The crew topped of the limit here. the Guys even encouraged Wayne and myself to get involved... Took turns fishing and we even got to land a limit each for dinner Thanks Guys!!!
The guys also threw back a few smaller keepers as it was evident the big limit was coming!!!
Congrats to Matt Who was High Hook with 16 Keepers (only taking a limit)
By days end we landed over 250+ fluke!!! With over 50 being Keeper size fluke up to 8 lbs!!! Everyone on the boat took home a legal limit and we Released the rest for another day!!!
Some fishing!!! Best day of the year by far!!!
