TNT FISHING TEAM
Fished 2 Tourneys today, The FSOS Fluke Tourney and the Pt. Pleasant VFW Fluke tourney..
MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR F-UP on our part cost us $4100.00..
Well good news is we won the VFW tourney with my 7.4 lb fish actually tying with my Buddy Stellios and his 7.4... good tourney with ok money and a Great Pig Roast...split the first and second place doe, and the calcutta, and took the creel prize alone...

Now the Major F-up.....FSOS contest out of Belmar NJ had a 2 fish total weight calcutta... headed in to weigh our 2 fish total of 14+lbs... A FRIEND calls to ask how we did as he was about to weigh in, told him 14+lbs.. he tells me "oh we got that beat got a 10lber at least (30 inches), and a few 7lbers".. well i congratulate him and tell him i will see him at the after party.... I break the news to my crew and it was decided not to bother weighing in to go back to home port and drive the 7.4lber to the VFW gig....15 minutes later this FRIEND calls back to say his weights we really a 12 lb fish and an 8 lb fish,,,,, BUT...... HE ISN'T IN THE CALCUTTA ARE YOU F'N KIDDING ME.....now we are screwed as its to late to tune back and weigh up..of coarse the calcutta was won with 13 lbs...$4100.00 down the drain for us....TRUST NO ONE BUT YOUR OWN CATCH...ESPECAILLY ON MONEY DAYS

Wow tough brake..  Boy I can top that. About 5 years ago I was fishing the Lacey Elks Tourney. The sea's where 3-5 and worst further out. Nobody went off shore for the big blues. As I was coming in the inlet there were 3-4lb blues so we stopped and landed 10 fish. I ended giving the fish away at the dock thinking these fish would not place. Come to find out there was a 1 lb blue holding 1st place. Giving those fish away costed me 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Tough lession to learn and that will never happen again. Tournement day weigh all fish because you never know.

Nice finish on the VFW tourney TNT crew. 

Seems like again, the winning crew for the FSOS tourney wasn't in the calcutta. How can you not enter that? 

Sorry to hear you didn't weigh in your fish Tom. Lesson learned...weigh in, just in case.

Thats too bad. I personally know the guy who caught the fish was his PB he was only a invited guest not part of the team and had no money at stake. With two weigh in ports how would the guy poosibly know, ,what are the odd of the top 3 spots all being stupid and not in the calcutta?

You personlly know him huh... funny because Mark owns a polar 21..... and if you.. I mean Mark caught the fish, why was the old man at the party claiming he did

look not gonna keep whining about it, I'm over it as i have stated MANY times that tournament fishing is not just about the Money, it isn't in my book, but when a guy calls you, asking how you did, and I tell him first we are on our way to weigh 14+ lbs for the calcutta and he tells ya he has ya beat, what are you supposed to think ?? especially when you know him for a few years and have fished with him in the past ...

Its done... in the end its MY boat and i shouldn't have trusted anyone..if it was a radio transmition and not a phone call i would have continued on to the scales.....
