Today I had Jack and his Dad John out for combo father and son trip. The plan was to take the two out for their first ocean wreck fishing trip ever and then hit a few weakfish holes in the bay. We hit the inlet and were greeted with flat calm seas. A short run to some inshore snags produced great action with a mix of shorts and keepers. The first time bottom fisherman did a great job and had a blast. Watching 8 year old Jack battle some nice knuckle heads still has me smiling
. At 11 am with 20 keepers to 3lbs on ice and the wind starting to pick up we headed to the bay. With the wind blowing we decided to go to lunch and save the weakies for another day. A future sharpie for sure. The laughs and smiles with the father and son trips are always priceless.
