Hunter 2- Fluke Tournament -8-29-2010
« on: August 30, 2010, 08:53:18 AM »
We fished my Marinas Fluke tournament Sunday, I pulled out of Keyport at 6am with Joe (IRISH AYES), Chris (Cashin) , and Steve (Massbaster) on the boat. The weather was great and the water was calm. We went past Sandy Hook and head out to the Scotland Grounds area. A few Seabass and short Fluke were landed on that location. We hit some more spots in the area and made a run for Ambrose channel to find dogfish and searobbins. Then we took a ride to the TC bouy but no Fluke keepers were to be found. The last spot was up in the triangle and Joe found a small keeper Fluke.  We fished all over but luck was not on our side.  The winning fish was around 7.5 lbs,,

Fun day on the water with a great bunch of guys. t^ t^   Good Luck,,  Eddie TT^

Sounds like the old Chris Craft still runs like a charm. Lot of ground covered and you guys had a good time and tried it all.
I guess this was the old and long running Wagner tourn. How was the pig roast?

Great day on the water with some good people. The catching was slow but that's fishing. We did cover a lot of ground and the fish should have been there but we couldn't get em.

The food afterward was superb.  chrz

Thanks for the invite Eddie. slt

The food was great, Everyone brings something. The pig roast days are over but A huge tray of shredded pork was very good. Maybe in the future the economy will pick up and the old style parties will be back.
