New Member from Bergen County
« on: August 31, 2010, 10:34:40 AM »
Hello.  A quick introduction from a new member.  I'm 35 years old and I live in Bergen County.

I've got a busy law practice and an ever-growing family, so I don't get out to fish as much as I like.  But once a month or so, I ditch work on a weekday and go fishing, but come home at the same time as if I had been at work.

My favorite escape is saltwater fishing.  I haven't really learned the skills and tricks for successfully fishing from the piers and jetties, so I typically just jump on a head-boat departing from Brielle, NJ.  I've had good success aboard these (Jamaica, Jamaica II, Paramount, etc), but I'm also open to trying other boats, if they're not too far away from home.

Nothing beats bringing home the day's catch and cooking it up for my family!  I am proud to do it, and they really enjoy it.

I've never been out on a tuna trip, but I'm very interested in doing that sometime.  Maybe this fall or next fall.

Also, as an alternative to the head-boat thing, it would be cool to go out on a smaller charter one day.  So, if you have a small group that needs an extra guy to fill the last spot on a charter, send me a message.

Anyway, good luck, and see you out on the water.

Welcome Roy.  If you're looking to get out on a smaller boat, many of our captains here offer open boat trips on their 6 packs.  For a list of our sponsor boats click here.  t^
