My Last Striper of the Year
« on: September 09, 2010, 09:39:12 AM »
Couldn't pass up the new moon at Montauk, even if there was a SCA. Had to wait till the outgoing to get fishable conditions. The wind never died as they predicted, and it got unfishable when it hit about 30 knots. Not that the waves were too big, the drift was ripping at 6 knots and 24 oz would not hold for us.

Hanging up the striper rods and getting out the bow-----archery starts Sat!!

Beautiful fish - I would say it is too warm to get in the stand but I may have to make an exception for that guy - and during shooting hours no less. Good luck slt
