Salmon River and Lake O 9/24 – 26 PIC'S FIXED!!!
« on: September 26, 2010, 07:41:29 PM »
Went to the Salmon River with Eddie (Hunter 2) and Scott G on Thursday after work. We hit the river around 6:00 am. We were able to put only one fish in the boat. After a few hours we headed out to the lake for some trolling. We marked fish from 30 FOW to around 65, but could not get any takers, headed in around noon or so. Back out on the water for the afternoon bite on the river. We fished till ½ hour after sunset (by law) and headed in. Not many fish in the estuary and we came up blank. Did the same on Saturday AM and PM but without hitting the lake due to the 30 MPH winds. When we can back out in the afternoon some fish have moved into the estuary and we had a good time hooking a bunch of fish. Some we were able to get to the boat and the others were able to get off. Knowing some more fish moved in we had high hopes for the Sunday AM bite before heading home. Seems the fish had other plans and a lot of them went up the river. We were able to only hook up with four fish and get two of them in the box. Tried one more spot before calling it a day and I caught my first ever Northern Pike and returned it to fight another day.  Had a good weekend with some laughs and good times. A few pic’s from the trip and believe me I did catch a fish, but the guys wouldn’t take a picture of me with mine.  Funny how the camera was left in the RV that day!
