what are they saying
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:58:12 PM »
Ok someone please help me with the abbreviations I have no idea what some of them mean.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Make a list of what you don't understand. I'm sure someone will help you with them.  t^

An emoticon is a textual expression representing the face of a writer's mood or facial expression. Emoticons are often used to alert a responder to the tenor or temper of a statement, and can change and improve interpretation of plain text.

you're forgetting the classic "lol". commonly mean "laugh out loud", however some not so computer smart people think it means "lots of love". For example this is a text from a mom to her son when his grandmother died; "grandma died lol".

If you are talking about some of the other boards their acronyms can be figured out once you have been fishing for a while in NJ.

For instance:

AC = could be Atlantic City or Atlantic County
CISP = Corson's Inlet State Park
CMC = Cape May County
CMR = Cape May Rips
IBSP = Island Beach State Park
LBI = Long Beach Island
DB = Delaware Bay
NOMOCO = Northern Monmouth County
OC = Ocean County
SOMOCO = Southern Monmouth County
SFZ=Spring Fling Zone which is from SRI=Shark River Inlet to MI=Manesquan Inlet

I hope this helps out a little.

Happy Catching

Paul
