Had no intention of fishing today when i read the marine forecast at 6:30 this am. 4-6' seas, no thanks. Cycling at Sandy Hook 9 am, seas looked beautiful! Flew home, was on the boat by 10:30 heading out. Put the trolling rods out and had a 29" bass in 1/2 hr. Had a couple of shorts and a big blue the next hour. Wind was picking up out of the south and seas were getting sloppy. Decided to give the bay a try. Picked up a nice 33" bass near the pier. Was back at the dock by 2 pm. Was nice to catch one in the bay for a change. Would have stayed there if i only knew....
