Bounced the metal today with my son LT, his buddy Anthony, and El Balkito (Orlando)....
Thought the day was gonna be killer as we rounded Sandy Hook in the early light and had fish breaking on top right at the tip of the hook in 25ft.... first cast was a 30" keeper bass for Anthony, then a few dropped fish... a clam boat ran right threw them and that was it...
worked our way down the beach after that, all the way to Asbury Park with few marks and no bird life to brag about....
finally had the screen light up about 2 miles off the Red Church area... but it was all the bluefish you wanted....Orlando decided to keep a few for the table and for his neighbor...jigged blues till our arms were sore... report from up north was a dismal one from Party with Artie, so we worked our way back to Sandy Hook Channel seeing not much of anything.....
called it a day around 1pm and had a great late lunch at the Keyport Fishery.....
