No Bob it's considered a Hardtail Mountain bike.
Steel frame, not Alumium. Trex 820

Looks good.  Good luck with it. t^

I was looking at some mountain bikes, but since I don't plan on doing any real serious off-roading I decided to go with a hybrid.

Hope to have it by the end of the month.

Good to see everyone is getting into shape. I have lost about 30 lbs myself since moving up to NNJ. Since I have NO CAR I have to do alot of walking from here to there, unless I get a ride of borrow a car. I also have an old MARIN mountain bike I bought when I was younger and it still suits me just fine. I need to lose another 30 by winter which is a nice goal, hopefully I can do it. Not having a car makes me appreciate when I had one, sucks bad too... hate relying on others, makes me feel like more of a loser than I already feel like.

I was doing pretty well and lost a decent amount of weight from October through June.  Unfortunately for me, I made an exception for our trip to Disney World, and ate whatever I liked for the whole week. ;D  The only problem was, I could never get back on track for the rest of the year and now I'm pretty much back to square one. :P

Starting this week, it's back to salads, fruits, and no bread (which has been my downfall).  Also, my brother-in-law gave me his old bike.  So, I'm going to get it fixed up and start riding a.s.a.p. t^

Good luck Bob, I still ride the bike but not enough to do me any good once a week if I'm lucky. Since going to day shift, I have gained weight BLAH ! An find it hard to go for a ride after getting your butt kicked at work. thud
