Had Steve aka ALS Mako Charter today along with an all start crew... George Gdubya, Mike Hollywood, Eric the mortgage man,Phil the staten island killer, and Daryl rounded out todays crew.
Breezy day... First drop started off with a slow scratchy bite... had life but mostly shorts... and a couple of keepers... George broke the ice with his first keeper Blackfish here.
Made a short move... second drop there was better life... bunch of bites n nice keepers pretty quick... got a pick going and then the some big ones came out to play.
Steve had one just over 10lbs... then Hollywood Mike with a 9 1/2 lber followed by Eric 8lber... another 8lber and a 7 before the quick chew died off.
Action came to a stop as quick as it started... shifted around hoping they would turn back on but only picked a nice fish here n there.Grinded out the pick until it completely stopped.
Made our last drop and picked at a few more nice ones including Daryls 7 1/2 lber.
Just a pick had it moments... and had its lulls... but another day with a Nice Quality tog. Some caught better than other depending where ya where when the bite picked up.
Congrats to George Gdubya who on his first blackfish trip managed to catch his limit!!! He used the new kevin bogan stick and loved it!!! Congrats George!!!
By days end between everybody we caught 44 Keeper Size Fish to over 10lbs with everyone taking home a legal limit. Had another fish over 9, 2 others over 8 and a bunch in the 6-7 lbs range!!!
