Fun with critter parts
« on: February 06, 2011, 01:29:37 PM »
So after playing around with blinging up my rods with marbling and abalone, I decided to try a skin inlay.. I got a nice deal on a couple Rattlesnake skins on ebay.. I gotta say i like working with it.. much easier than abalone imo..Blank is a Seeker Super Tog..It will get spiral wrapped with Amtek Titan Ti. guides..    chrz

Being as I had so much skin on hand, I took it all the way out from the foregrip to show thru under stripper guide..

I even got crazy and used a piece of the tail at the tip.. only thing missing is the rattle and the teeth  fcp

Thanks guys.. Bob i did see that guy's stuff.. awesome work, but , ya a little over the top for me too..also saw one he did with an little gator head on it.  cfzd crazy stuff..looks a bit fragile to me.. i like a little bling, but i'll also use a rod just as hard.. plus I carry enough  crap  without having to keep anti-venom in the tackle bag  ;D .. Lol Warren,.. thanks! the flowers where a little more fitting when it was a dining room..  before I commandeered it for my office/shop  >:D  chrz

Lol.. funny you say that Skip.. in addition to inciting a bit of the ballbusting, it also appears the flowery loveliness was too much for the camera.. as the flash never worked again  after those shots..  fcp  hence the move out into the snow .. Thanks again for the kind words guys  chrz
