Can i ask, what are the best jigs to take along on a cod fish trip?

A variety of jigs will take cod/pollack. Most times you'll need jigs of 8oz or more. Take what you have. Hammered diamonds, diamonds, norway jigs, butterfly, they all take fish at times. A teaser 2 foot above the jig makes the rig complete. Most trips 90+% of the fish have been taken on bait. Some guys just like to jig a little cause a big fish is many times taken this way. There are lots of herring around but when examining the contents of my cod's stomach from a recent trip all I found was clam. Good luck
