Me neither. It's mainly all about being at the right place at the right time.  Last year IBSP had a few good weeks of blitzing action from the blues and I could never get in one.

Gotta be in the right place at the right time.
Spend a lot of time on the sand and looking for/following the bait.  It's part luck and part experience.

Blitzes are way cool.  I have seen many of them but like Jason and Chris mentioned you have to be at the right place at the right time.  I spend a lot of time on the beach and that is what it takes.  In fact most of the guys turn the non blitz times into BS sessions and once you see the bait schools coming in close the pack (us non working types) move to be at the right place at the right time.  During late summer this is often seen but the key is to watch the birds and they will tell you where the bait balls are.  Once you spot one just follow its movement and if you are lucky enough to have them come to the beach its game on.

Hi,

I have experienced them (twice) and it comes down to spending alot of time fishing during the spring and fall.  And of course a little luck.  Follow the bait fish.

I happened on one a few years back. just throwing metal for the heck of it one day on Normandy Beach. about 5 minutes into it, I caught one on every cast. to the point I saw them schooling in the waves. was an awesome sight. nailed one giant, but broke him off at the drop.
