Upper New York Bay 3-18-11

First time out this year and boy did it feel good. Woke up a little before 7 and went to the bait shop only to find a sign on the door that says they open at 9  rgmn. I guess they're still on their winter schedule 5hrug. Went back at 9 and was fishing by 9:20. Around 10 am I had a bite and pulled in my first fish of the year. A nice striper, about 21 inches. t^ Stayed until 11:30 but nothing happening. Still have a bunch of worms left so I'll probably give it a shot again tomorrow or Sunday.

hey gymrat theire doing better down vets and hudson county my buddy got a 29 in striper yester day but you live on the east side so you fish by stop and shop

and a guy was busted today by the game wardens
he had two 15 in stripers clp clp

thats a nice fish gymrat  iwas out fishing on friday too caught one about 7" in Elizabethport on blood worms went out sat again and caught another one of the same size i guess the big ones havent moved up yet
