hi viz braids?
« on: April 06, 2011, 09:55:20 PM »
Question for those that use braid while tolling. Do you use the hi viz yellows for better tracking? Or stick with the greens?

Yellow works great. Its very helpful. I always use a 6' clear leader before the lure. t^

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

While I'm at it,  are there any particular braid manufacturers to avoid for trolling purposes?  I realize there are countless companies that manufacture braid but any that stand out as "must avoid" or "must haves"

I really like Cortland braid, Its a bit stiffer and rounder. This helps prevent birds nests and the line wrapping the rod tip in windy conditions.   Suffix braid is similiar too.
