Fun day on the water with good company!!!
Had our open boat flounder trip today... Paul, Ralphy, Blackfish Doug, Mark, John and Topeka Bill rounded out todays crew.
Headed up to the bay and picked 10 nice keepers before the bite slowed up. Moved to another area and picked away at some fat flounder for the rest of the day. Fish Bit better as the tide moved faster. Picked away until we had the boat limit and played catch n release with some nice flundies until we picked up the anchors.
Total count was 44 keeper size flounder and 1 short with everyone taking home a limit and releasing the rest for another day. Mostly kept 14 to 17in fish.
Blackfish Doug takes high hook honors with 13 flounders (only taking limit)
Loads of laughs story telling and chop bustin... just two bad the guys couldnt keep a few more for dinner but a Fun day nonetheless!!!
Will be out for cod and blackfish Sun Mon Tues, trips are full but if any of the are blowouts we will go for flounder and post any availability in the open boat forum .
