Had John Gleason and Crew aboard. Decided to go looking for some Blackfish today.
First couple of spots we didnt see much life. Took a few drops to find a little life. Finally started getting a few bites the first spot they chewed at was mostly shorts. Also had a Keeper Pollack and Cod.
Moved a few miles away in the same depth and we got a few more nicer fish and some shorts.
They would look like they wanted to chew and then it would back off to nothing. Bite was never good... they were real picky...ya had to really work for em.
The guys fished hard to put a Few more nice blackfish fish in the cooler and a couple more cod.
Wish the chew was better but def nice to see the blackfish waking up.
The guys fished hard and by days end we boxed up 19 Keeper Blackfish, 3 Cod, and a Pollack. Nothing Big but some nice roaster and a couple of chunk 5-6lbers
John and crew were a blast as usual!!!
Looking forward to having them back aboard for livelining and Seabass!!!

Focusing on Blackfish from now till it closes but Due to the wind we will be floundering tomorrow.
