Fish Monger Thurs 4/21 Nice day Of Flounder Fishing!!!

Was supposed to go blackfishing today but the with the gusty wind forecast we opted for flounder fishing instead.

Only 3 anglers as the rest of the crew only wanted to blackfish... We were going fishing anyway... Kool Kat Kenny, Suzanne and Ralphy rounded out todays crew.

Stayed in the river an anchored up 10 min from the dock... had a few right away and then picked a dozen fish before the tide got too strong... made a move and picked a few more but when the tide was riping incoming it was slower.

When the tide slacked up we moved back to a deep hole and bombed alot of chum... soon as it switched to out going they started chewing good. stayed here and played catch n release with another 30 nice size flounder!!!

Congrats to Ralphy who despite the 2 fish bag limit still loves his flounder fishing he has been on almost every flounder trip with us. He was High hook with 16 Flounder only taking his limit... Suzanne broke in her new custom river rod and had some redemption today and Kenny started off really hot until the tackle buster

Wind didnt bother us as we hid behind some houses.

By days end we Caught 48 Keeper Size with everyone keeping a legal limit and threw the rest back for another day.

Fun Day!!!

Thanks Again guys!!!

Will be back at the blackfish tomorrow and everyday the weather lets us until it closes... Then Stripers and Ling trips starting May 1

Snapped the handle right off....had to be an 18 lb flounder rofla

Wayneo had to hand crank the reel to get the fish in...Too funny....

Good times again on the Monger as always thx Jerry/Wayno t^

Naa Paule.. not the 955...I broke the handle off a little Penn 4300 spinner reel...probably 15 years old, the steel roll pin that holds on the aluminum handle corroded and sheared right off...Thank God we were only in 10 feet of water...Wayno did a nice job reeling in by hand...

I knew Rod would call me out on the hat and hoodie...I had on a tee shirt under my fleece...the hat was in the salon...the hoodie is too nice to get dirty just yet rod...plus the wife already stole it from me rofla
