1st trip out for this year. Had my father (79), Chuck and Jim. Left SRI at 6:00 am. Ran north and set up for clamming. NG...only one fish early.
Made a move south and set up again. NG.
Move another move to try jigging and caught three more, lost a few and had a few followers. My father boated two including a nice 35" which made the day since he has trouble with his feet (can't drive etc.). Also...he was not out last year at all.
Tried blackfishing in 35'...not even a hit (crabs and clams) and the sinkers came up cold.
Weather was cool, breezy and some drizzle in the am that went to sunny and nice as the day went on.
