I received an invite to fish with an old friend, Joe Kozlowski from Rochester,NY. I didn't hesitate and put plans together. We fished Sun 5/1-5-4 and had some nice action out of Sandy Creek which is west of Rochester. Best days were Tues-Wed. We trolled the surface with small swimmers in chart/orange and yel/orange along with stinger spoons on the riggers. We caught mostly browns with a mix of coho and a stray king and laker. Joe is a local sharpie and we go back a long way. Fishing is much improved over prior years with lots of fish being caught this spring. We had browns to 11.5#,a king of 10.5# and coho to 4# and a laker of 8#. We fished the derby but had nothing to compare to the 27# laker that was leading.
