BOUNTY HUNTER - Spooning Bass With The Chris Cameroni Charter, 5/21

The Chris Cameroni charter joined Capt Paul on the Bounty Hunter for what we thought was going to be anther great day of Clamming Stripers up north. The crew was made up of Chris, Ron, Dave, Carmine, Tony & Don. Hit the same spot as yesterday got the Slick going and quickly landed 3 keeper Bass plus 2 shorts. 2 hours later that is all we had to show for our effort. The bite completely died and there was not a Bass to be found. Paul quickly shifted to plan B and ran back to the south and after finding some reads in 50 ft. put out the Spoons and it was game on. Over the next 2 hours we trolled 7 large Bass up to 25 lbs. and returned to the dock with nice catch of 10 Bass 7 and 2 large Bluefish. It was a happy ending to a day that did not look great a few hours before. We're glad Chris's crew had a good ending to their day as they have done 2 to 3 trips a year on the Bounty Hunter for the last several years.
