Had the Hoboken Hillbilly, Paul the NetMaster, and Pistol Pete out for after work search and deploy mission. Checked local spots for bait nada. Found enough to keep us in the game on the Staten Island side in 12ft. Paulie did a weeks worth of arobics throwin the net on low marks in deeper water coming up with squat. Perserverence paid off. We had no other choice than resort to the dreaded troll but were willing to do that if required. Live well pumped with about 40 pieces and we off toward the mouth of the bay. Set anchor and the Hillbilly breaks it loose with a nice 34" on a chunk. We're getting pounded by a mixed bag of blues and bass. Great runoffs that are coming up unscathed and others that livies are decimated by old razor tooth!

We had hot action for a good 1.5hrs almost at the tail end of the tide. Pistol Pete dropped the nut on a keep and the Hillbilly scored with a sweet 20+ lber that made the coffin. Paul and I had our share with blues and assorted action but no stripers. Ended the nite with 3 good bass! Heck of a flurry that kept you scratching your head

because the marks were so thick. If you weren't on it during the short feed window you might thought about jumping overboard to hand scoop some of those suckers.
