Stren Sinking braid

Anyone try this?

Saw the ad in this week's NJ Fisherman and got curious.

While other braids float, this is the braid that gets to where the fish are. Lures sink faster and deeper with Stren Sinking Braid. Offers twice the strength of mono with all the sensitivity of braid.

Only saw 125yd spools but fairly cheap.
Not many #test to choose from, 10, 20, 35, and 50.

Anyone spool up with this line?  Pros, cons?

I've been using it all year for Fluke fishing...no complaints.

That is the first I have heard of this. 

Bassnblues, have you found yourself using less weight than others to keep the baits on the bottom?

bassnblues, which #test are you using?  Any pros or cons?

Get away with lighter jigs or weight on rigs?  Tend to not like certain knots?  Castability?  Similar to any other braid brand?

Give us a little insight please. TIA

how does it compair to power pro ,I am afraid to try anything new ,PP has always been good to me

I'm using the 20 lb on a 6 1/2' Shimano Calcutta rated for 10 to 17 lb test with an ABU 5500.

IMO, braid really shines in deepwater and I've been doing most of my Fluke fishing under 15' so far this year. I did have one situation where I smoked my partner fishing the edge of the reach in about 30'. He was using mono and I was using the Stren. We both were holding with 3 1/2 oz.

I does seem like it's slicker than Power Pro. I use and improved clinch and make sure I wrap it around 8 or 10 times. No knot problems so far.

Stren is my favorite mono so I figured I'd try their braid.
