Capt. Paul had the members of the "Tailhookers" fishing club from the Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ on board the Bounty Hunter. The crew was made up of Mark, Wayne, Rob, Glen, Paul & Gene. We cleared the Inlet at 5:30 AM and had no problem filling the Livewell with Bunker. Paul worked the Bunker schools along the beach but we never saw a Bass. By 7 AM we were in a Pea Soup Fog with only a few hundred feet of visibility and the crowd was growing larger. Paul decided to get off into deeper water and work the reads out in 40 to 60 Ft. We had our first Bass within 10 Minutes and picked away slowly as the Charter went 5 for 7 on Bass up to 45" (25 Lbs.). On the ride home we found the Bass crashing bait right outside our Inlet. A brief stop added 2 More Bass to the catch as the Crew finished the day going 7 for 11. The guy's went home with plenty of Fillets and will be back for their annual Seabass charter in July.
