Today It was Lou,Tom and Bud out for a capt combo trip of bay and ocean fishing. We bring a nice selection of rods and reels on our combo trips and today we used just about everyone. When we cleared the inlet the striper fleet was picking away at bass. We opted to head off the beach to the wrecks first thing and give the stripers a crack later in the day. First drop had very good life with a nice mix of keepers. north current is still pushing down the beach but the fish are chewing. With a dozen keepers in the box and need to reset the anchor a call to the "FishMonger" had us changing plans. Capt Jerry said the bite is still on. Thanks again. A quick push inshore put us on a nice pod getting crashed and found us all by ourselves. A few runoffs, a few brake offs, and finally a nice 30lb fish for the box. The guys hammered away each getting new personal best and reaching a legal limit. with the boxes stuffed and the anglers wore out we set our sites on light tackle fluking in the bay. Today had the best bite of the season with real good action. The 3 anglers released 25plus short fluke to 17 3/4" and boxed on 18.5. Combo trips are always a blast and even better with the fine company of these 3 gentleman. Another great day on the water.
