On 6/16 I had pleasure of having Joe,Nikki and Pat on board for another great day of fishing. With the forcasted high afternoon winds the plan was to get out early and get in before the wind came on. The morning greeted us with calm seas and hungry fish. Both Nikki and Joe landed personal best with 37lb fish. A short stop out to a near shore wreck produced a nice pick of keeper and short seabass. I am really looking forward to working the seabass over but with all the big stripers around they are hard to pass up. A call from Capt Jerry helped us fill any remaining space in our coolers. Thanks again . The 3 anglers finished with a legal limit of stripers to 37 lbs and 12 keeper seabass for some jumbo bags of fillets. Its a special day for a capt when he can show an experience charter something new. Watching the guys peeking in the coolers and high fiving was priceless.
A few bay trips on tap this weekend and then a few more striper trips next week and then the summer seabass beat downs will begin.
