On Saturday 7/16 Greg Stokes chartered us to fish the Raritan Bay Anglers Tournament. Based on some Friday pre-fishing, the plan was pretty much the same as last Sunday. The morning started off tough for us with the Snags yielding shorts, skates and ling and a lot of lost rigs. Made the run to where we fished Friday and we caught some keepers and shorts and many more lost rigs before it died off. Another move yielded the same results. By days end we had 11 keepers in the box and nothing worth weighing in. The guys fished hard all day but we couldn't make it happen. Wish I zigged when I should have zagged. Tourney fishing is about taking a risk/gamble and today it did not pay off.
