 :headscra:   Anyone going to pull your boat out of the water as a precaution?? Im going to wait till Friday to make my decision. Possible 12' storm surge is predicted. :-\

I'll be fishing at Lake Ontario this Fri-Sat. So, I'm going to the boat after work today to secure and add some more dock lines and check the bilge pumps. Not much more I can do.  :P

I'm on the fence.  My biggest concern is the surge of water, if it floats the docks right over the pilings.   :headscra:

i think im gonna bump it up to 5/8th line and lots of them throw on my mooring cover...... check the pumps and let it rideeeeeeeeeee....i will be staying close though to make sure other boats dont breat loose and come after meeee

Our boat is safe on the trailer at our home.I hope all you capts. out there who have a boat in the water are safe and protected good luck to u all..... slt

I'm leaving Fluka in.. figuring with the Keansburg floodgate giving protection from the surge, I am safer in the slip.. rather than risk getting blown off blocks in the parking lot..  I know from past storms, Lentze's is used to hosting transients looking to hide out behind the floodgate.. and has plenty of space available.. so maybe an option to pulling for some of the R-Bay faithful... Ummm.. scratch that.. With the latest path and projections, and the possible impending evacuation, the marina just called to say they decided to pull all boats out.. fcp  I guess all we can do is batten down, make sure insurance is current, and get the hell out of this things way..Again, best of luck everyone and be safe!
