Anyone going to pull your boat out of the water as a precaution?? Im going to wait till Friday to make my decision. Possible 12' storm surge is predicted.
I'm on the fence. My biggest concern is the surge of water, if it floats the docks right over the pilings.

Quote from: Scott G. on August 25, 2011, 10:18:20 AM Good Call You know, when it's normal high tide I'm looking down at the top of the pilings from my boat. During the full moon/new moon high tides there's only about 2.5-3 feet of the dock pilings sticking out. Add in the storm surge, the fact that New Moon is Monday, and the potential of waves that may start swaying the docks enough to get it to come apart or over a piling......to me that's just cutting it too close. If we were in a neap tide I might have taken the chance.
