One lonely fluke
« on: September 17, 2011, 07:12:12 PM »
Managed to get a nice 19" fluke on the first cast today. Nothing for next 4 hours. I forgot to weigh it, but it yielded about 1 1/2 lbs nice fillets. Yum.

Nice catch. t^

What a frustrating day. Went to the same spot, got about 4-5 short flukes, but then there was THE ONE... put a up a nice fight, and while I was able to haul it up onto the cement, I couldn't clear the railing. Turned around to get better balance and THE ONE got free of the hook, glared at me, and flopped back into the inlet.

 rgmn

Was 20-21" easy.

Note to self: Must purchase net. Use shorter leader.
