icom422 and raymarine c80 nmea hook up

has anyone done this? the radio says that it has a red for input but it has 2 wires. one yellow and one blue. the output for the gps has yellow + and brown -. i hooked up y to y and blue to brown and the radio doesnt see the signal.

Is there a setting in the Raymarine that needs to be set to output the signal?

i checked the book and didnt see any setting instructions.  on the unit itself it had all the variations on.  but i am horrible with instructions

I just figured it out.  with some help from another site....I read the diagram wrong.....thanks all.  I will hook it up tomm the correct way.
