And will probably be an even longer day......
My 4 yr old son had to go to the hospital at 10 pm last night with stomach pain and heavy painful breathing....by 4:30 am we got scan results showing a total blockage of his intestines....at 6 am we were transferred to another hospital to try to unblock his intestines with fluids....if no dice by noon, he will be transported to Philadelphia Childrens Hospital for surgery.
The scan shows the food from probably the last day or 2 still in his little belly.
To see the little man all hooked up to iv lines and in such pain just kills me....but he has been a trooper doing all the doctors have asked of him all night long.

Nothing worse than having to go through an experience like that with your kid.

Thanks for all the wishes guys...its really appreciated....
An update on the situation.....he has what is known as illius of the intestine.
It is a virus that actually shuts down the function of the bowels. He has fluid in his abdomen and his small and large intestines are full of swelling and some other stuff.
No treatment per say....they keeping him where he is for 24 more hours. If it has not gotten better, then we have some decisions to make at that point in time.

That stinks!  Hate when the kids are sick, so I can't imagine if they were hospitalized.  Hopefully the fluids work.  Thoughts and prayers for your little guy's fast recovery.
