Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Problem solved ;D

Well it did say one six pack Paule rofla

Truth be told...I have a friend who lives here in my town and does 3 to 4 trips a year on the Sea Devil and told me that the 1 six pack rule is rarely enforced unless there is a problem on the boat...But def no hard alcohol

And yes definitely gota make sure everyone goes home with some steaks  t^

Just pulled this off F/B recent Sea Devil trip 28/29th

Sea Devil Fishing Co.

Highlights from Sep 28-29: BP sailed to the Toms, and anchored up in about 650 feet of water. The bite did not begin until about 4 a.m. and lasted until about 6 a.m. There was much chaos and many anglers were hooked on tunas at the same time! All were yellow fins caught with bait. They ranged from 60 to 80 pounds. Many highlights include: Kudos to Chris Zotti, Ed Bannon, Nick Kapalski, Ray Bunn, and Craig Van Kott ! Each of these guys hooked into their 3 YFT limit! WooHoo! Craig was the first to land a tuna, and this was his first time out to the canyon. It was also a first for Ray Bunn. Jeff Camun was happy with his yellow fin catch. Dad, Bob McDermott, and son Justin both caught big tunas. Billy Burdge caught his first YFT for the season, as did David King, Oakland, CA. There were about a dozen that were lost in the battle, and lots of action!

For what its worth...and I'm the new guy here so dont want to step on any toes if anyone disagrees...some thoughts...

The beer talk is great, 6 pack per person, yada, yada...y'all know what ya can handle..I'm sure none of us have seen this enforced on a headboat unless someone got outta hand. I'm guessing we should be fine... ;D

On the fish share issue...let it play itself out.  We may hammer the crap out of them, we may skunk up the place, we may end up somewhere in between.  Lets see how it plays out before we talk about sharing the catch. I just dont think its neccesary to talk about splitting up fish before we actually have the chance to to do so.

My .02 for what its worth.

BTW, I prefer to eat what I catch before I get off the boat...will have soy and wasabi in the cooler.. ;D

Food for thought for anyone who is a subscriber to The Fisherman.

As of now, the current standings for the 2012 Dream Boat Challenge lists the smallest Yellowfin at 52.70 lbs., and Mahi Mahi at 14.75 lbs. Hey, you never know, if your on the board, you have a shot at the boat.  pawle

Capt Bob will be fishing Thursday and Friday this week. Hopefully he will be on the fish so he can bring us right back to the same spot.

If in the event we have to cancel due to weather, they will text me to let me know and I will text everyone I have a phone number for. This could be as late as noon or 1pm. If you don’t hear from me, then we are a go. The way it looks right now, weather should not be a problem.

Nah.  You know us.  Just haven't seen us "live and in person" yet. ;D

You're the PB tuna veteran.  Don't be surprised if you have some folks looking to get next to you at the rail to try to learn a thing or two from you. t^

I tuna fished with Duffman a few years back, he's a jigging machine!  The four hour happy hour ride back was fun too. ;D

Good luck to all this week.  t^

Haha that 4 hour "happy hour" was killer the next day at work!!!  but fun nonetheless!

No jigging this time around, all my jig stuff is loaded with braid and I'm not jigging with a 30 wide and mono, just too damn heavy!  Looks like a chunking night for sure.
